Have you ever needed a notary public and could not find
one? It isn’t a service that most people
need often.
In most states, becoming a notary public is easy and not
terribly expensive. We did this for a while.
We made a little side money doing this.
We registered online through a company National Notary Association that
took care of all the paperwork. They
provided the books, stamp, bond, and insurance, all for about $180 for several
years.
We ordered magnetic signs for our car and some business
cards from Vista Prints.
We went to all
the friends we know who have businesses and gave them a small stack of cards
and told them we would come to their place of business to notarize documents
for their customers.
Whenever we notarized something for someone, we gave them a
small stack of cards, too.
